ORLANDO – For the third consecutive week, the UCF track and field team featured among the top 25 in the latest USTFCCA poll, slotting in at 16th in the third and latest edition. The rank marks back-to-back seasons the Knights have remained in the top 25 through the first three weeks of the outdoor season.
The Black and Gold are one of seven Big 12 teams to feature among the nation’s best and continue to be tabbed as one of the top programs in the south region.
While only five Knights embarked on the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, the multis squad showed out en route to two personal bests and Y’Vette Harris entering the all-time list. Cassels widened her lead in fourth after a dominating 5185-point performance and led the way in Coral Gables with a fifth-place finish.
UCF remains in the top 20 in six events, including Rayniah Jones’ second-overall placement in the 100m hurdles after her season-best 12.78 at the Florida Relays a week ago. Here is a breakdown of where the Knights feature thus far:
- 200m: Kiah Williams (Ninth) – 22.95 | Knights Invite (March 22)

- 100mH: Raniah Jones (Second) – 12.78 | Florida Relays (March 29)

- Long Jump: Asherah Collins (12th) – 6.45m | Florida Relays (March 28)
- Triple Jump: Asherah Collins (Sixth) – 13.30m | Florida Relays (March 29)
The Knights will be back in Gainesville this weekend for the Tom Jones Invitational from April 12-13, its second of two regular season meets at James G. Pressly Stadium.
