Knights Men’s Golf Signs Transfer Gustav Andersson

ORLANDO – Gustav Andersson, one of the nation's top amateur golfers and a transfer from Texas Tech, has signed with the UCF men's golf program in advance of the Knights' inaugural season in the Big 12 Conference, head coach Bryce Wallor announced on Thursday.

"We are excited that Gustav has made the decision to become part of the UCF Men's Golf program in the fall of 2023," Wallor said. "He is a very talented and physically gifted player that we believe can come in and make an impact on our program. He brings with him a great deal of national junior and national amateur playing experience, as well as winning at the collegiate level. We are looking forward to Gustav joining our program as we move into the Big XII Conference."

Andersson joins the Knights following two seasons at fellow Big 12 Conference member Texas Tech and will be a junior in the fall. Hailing from Staffanstorp, Sweden, he joins a stellar recruiting class, which includes transfer Jakob Stavang Stubhaug as well as December signees Garret Ebbert, Marc Keller and Hans Risvaer.
