ORLANDO – UCF women's soccer star and 2022 American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Kristen Scott, was selected with the 41st pick of the 2023 NWSL Draft on Thursday night.
Scott will go down as a UCF legend. Her 33 career goals have her tied for sixth all-time in program history, and her 10 game-winning goals are tied for fifth all-time.
Her 2022 season is one for the record books. Despite missing four games, she led the AAC in goals, points, and game-winning goals. She was instrumental in the Knights' advancement to the second round of the NCAA tournament, where they narrowly fell to eventual national champion UCLA in penalties.
The Orlando native will be staying home and playing for her hometown club. She joins fellow former Knight, Carrie Lawrence, on the team.
