Scott, Lewis Named in Weekly AAC Honors

ORLANDO – Kristen Scott and Olivia Lewis took home American Athletic Conference weekly awards after wins over ECU and Houston to clinch the American Athletic Conference regular-season crown.

This is the second consecutive week that Kristen Scott is taking home Offensive Player of the Week honors. Her assist on the only goal in the ECU game set up a game against Houston to clinch the conference. In the 17th minute, she took a pass from Dayana Martin and put it right behind the 'keeper for the game-winner. The fifth year has now registered a point in seven straight matches, including every conference game she's played.

"Kristen has been on a roll, and we're so thrilled for her and the team," UCF head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak said. "She's a competitor and will be hungry to keep going."

Olivia Lewis earned Defensive Player of the Week after turning in two incredible performances. She scored her first career goal against ECU. She took a shot from 25-yards out and it sailed over the goalkeeper's head and found the back of the net for the game-winner. Lewis played all 180 minutes last week, helping the UCF backline to two clean sheets.

"Olivia is the unsung hero of our team," Roberts Sahaydak added. "She works extremely hard, and the entire team has so much respect for her. I'm happy that she has been recognized!"

NEXT UP
Having already wrapped up the regular-season title, UCF will turn its attention to one last regular-season game: the War On I-4. The Knights will travel to Tampa to take on USF in the final matchup between the two programs as conference foes. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. at Corbett Stadium and will be streamed on ESPN+.
