ORLANDO – The UCF women's soccer team will host Houston on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex. The game, which will be streamed on ESPN+, will be the last regular season home game for the Knights and marks their Senior Knight.

The Knights defeated ECU Thursday night, by a score of 1-0. They are still the only team in the American Athletic Conference to still be undefeated in conference play. With this win and the South Florida victory over Temple, the team remains at the top of the conference with 16 points, the Bulls still trailing with 15.

Defender Olivia Lewis scored his first career goal in the game against ECU on her first career shot on goal. The quick shot from the 25-yard mark was the fastest goal of the 2022 campaign. With an assist on Lewis' goal, Kristen Scott has extended her point streak to six consecutive games played, scoring at least one point in each of those games.

In this historic season for Scott, she leads the AAC in several offensive statistics. She leads the conference in points (19), points per game (2.11), goals (8) and goals per game (0.89). She holds the lead for points per game by over a full point per game. She was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week, her first time earning this honor, after scoring four goals and one assist in two games played last week.

Caroline Delisle continued her dominate season in the ECU match, notching her 24th career clean sheet and her seventh of the season. Delisle leads the conference in clean sheets, save percentage (.818%), and goals against average (0.77). She was also picked up as the AAC Goalkeeper for the Week for the second week in a row, her fourth time during the 2022 campaign.

The Knights will look to improve their all-time series history against the Cougars, which currently sits at 14-2-1. In their last matchup against Houston on September 16, 2021, UCF dropped the match, by a score of 1-0.

The win over ECU clinched a bye in the AAC Women's Soccer Tournament for the Black and Gold. The Knights can clinch the regular season conference champion title with a win on Sunday and a South Florida loss or a win on Sunday and a win or tie when they face off against the Bulls on Thursday. They can clinch a share of the conference championship with a win on Sunday and a South Florida tie against Cincinnati.
