ORLANDO – The UCF volleyball team will host its annual Black and Gold Scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m. from The Venue. Admission to the event is free.
The intrasquad scrimmage will wrap up preseason practice before the Knights look to defend a fourth consecutive AAC Conference Championship.
Next week, The Knights will open the regular season next week at home at the UCF Challenge from Sept. 2-3 against Syracuse and Kansas State.
PRESEASON FAVORITES
In case you missed it, the Knights topped the AAC Preseason Coaches Poll for the fourth year in a row. The Knights received 10 of the 11 conference head coaches' first-place votes. In addition to being selected as preseason favorites, UCF senior McKenna Melville was unanimously selected as the Preseason Player of the Year in the conference for the third year in a row. Melville, along with teammates Claudia Dillon and Amber Olson, were named to the Preseason All-Conference Team.
