ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The UCF women's golf team wrapped up play in the first round of the Ann Arbor NCAA regional on Monday in Ann Abor, Michigan, posting a 300(+16) score to sit tied for eighth place.

At the end of day one, the Knights sit nine strokes shy of first place Arkansas (291, +7) and six strokes back from fourth place (294, +10), which is the cut-off to advance to the national championship.
 
Reigning American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year Zoe Allaux led the charge for the Knights in the opening round on Monday, kicking things off with three birdies through her first five holes before settling down to shoot 1-over-par 73, tying her for 13th place.
 
Behind Piddon and currently tied for 23rd is reigning AAC Player of the Year Tunrada Piddon. The junior from Bangkock, Thailand, who has been UCF's leader to this point in the season with a team-low 71.36 scoring average, shot 74(+2) in the opening round of play after knocking down two birdies, two bogeys and a double-bogey.
 
Sophomore Jess Baker is currently tied for 32nd out of 66 golfers with a 3-over 75 score, while senior Alyssa Lamoureux is tied for 47th after shooting 78(+6).
 
Ana Laura Collado rounds things out for the Knights with an 82(+10) day-one score, tying her for 63rd. UCF sophomore and All-Conference honoree Camille Banzet will substitute in for Collado to close out the remaining two rounds of the regional.

The Knights will tee off in round two of the Ann Arbor regional Tuesday morning at 9:06 a.m. off hole 10, along with Virginia Tech and Oakland University. Fans can follow along live on Golfstat.com here.
