Cameron Stevens Hired to be High Point Assistant Coach

ORLANDO – High Point University Volleyball announced the addition of former UCF Volleyball volunteer assistant coach Cameron Stevens to its staff, the Panthers released on Wednesday.

Stevens leaves UCF after a successful three-year stint at UCF that saw the program achieve unprecedented heights. In Stevens' time with the Knights from 2019-22, the Knights won three straight American Athletic Conference titles and reached the NCAA Tournament all three years, advancing to the second round twice.

"I could not be more excited for Cam and his family," said UCF head coach Todd Dagenais. "We have had many people come through our staff and go on to make a difference in other programs, he deserves this opportunity as much as any of them.

"Cam's going to a first-class program, with a first-class head coach who will look out for him and help train him to his potential. This is not the last we have heard of Cameron or his upward climb.

"Everybody associated with UCF Volleyball wants to thank Cameron for his service and everything he has done to contribute to our perennial success. We can't wait to see the trajectory his career takes."

Stevens has coached both boys and girls at Timber Creek High School over the last 10 years. He spent seven years as the head girls' coach, reaching the regional playoffs six times. He led the Wolves to the regional finals in 2014 and regional semifinals in 2018. He captured district championships in 2014 and 2018, as well as a Metro Conference championship in 2018. He finished his time as the head girls' coach with a record of 88-75.

Stevens spent 10 years as the head boys' coach at Timber Creek. He won district titles in 2015, 2016, and 2022, with Metro Conference championships in 2014 and 2015. He compiled a record of 188-64.

Stevens coached boys club volleyball with Orlando Gold Volleyball Club from 2012-2016 and Ocean Bay Volleyball from 2016-2017.

He graduated from the University of Findlay in May of 2011 with a bachelor's degree in digital media. He was a four-time all-conference and honorable mention all-America placekicker on the football team while at Findlay.

"I want to thank UCF for everything they have done for my family and me," said Stevens. "Thank you, Todd Dagenais, Brian Doyon, Jenny Maurer, and T.J. Read. Thank you for your guidance, support, and leadership. I learned so much, and I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for me. I cannot wait to get in the [High Point] gym and begin the quest for a Big South Conference title and an NCAA Tournament berth."
