WICHITA, Kansas - The UCF track and field team had a big second day at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship. Three Knights made the podium, including Brittany Floyd, who became the first Knight to ever win the AAC heptathlon title.

The day got started with the final three heptathlon events. The Knights started with a bang with Floyd setting a meet record in the heptathlon long jump and Natalia Madison coming in third.

Floyd followed that up with a career best 43.36m in the javelin to win that event. The final event of the heptathlon was the 800-meter. Floyd and Holly Cassels finished in the top 10.
