PINEHURST, N.C. – Led by junior Tunrada Piddon's dominant performance on Monday, the UCF Women's Golf team moved to just six strokes back from first-place Houston in the American Athletic Conference Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Piddon's round two score of 3-under-par 69 on Monday marked the third lowest single-round total in The American tournament's history at Pinehurst. The Bangkok, Thailand native was tied for second entering the day after shooting even with par (72) in round one and following it up at 1-under par through nine holes yesterday in round two. At the end of day two, she owns sole possession of first place with a 141(-3) score, three strokes lower than the next best golfer.

As a team, UCF currently sits in second place with a 593(+17) total, behind only the Cougars (587, +11).

Behind Piddon was senior Alyssa Lamoureux, who fell out of the top-five on Monday with a 6-over-par 78 score on the Par 72, 6,920-yard Pinehurst No. 6 course. Lamoureux is tied for 20th heading into the final round with a 150(+6) score.

The duo of sophomore Camille Banzet and Jess Baker are currently tied for 22nd with scores of 151(+7) after Banzet shot 3-over-par 75 while Baker turned in a 2-over-par 74 performance in round two.

Tied for 37th is UCF freshman Zoe Allaux, who has shot 79-78=157(+13) through the first two rounds.

The final round of the AAC Championship tees off Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+ here.
