ORLANDO – The Knights wrapped up play in the Lady Gator Invitational Sunday afternoon in Gainesville, Florida, turning in a 871(+31) score to finish in eighth place out of 15 teams.
UCF's 287(+7) final round on Sunday marked the Knights' lowest score in the event. UCF finished the invitational ahead of No. 13 Tennessee (889, +49) and just seven strokes back from No. 17 Ole Miss (864, +24).
Host school Florida and Michigan co-won the event with 851(+11) scores, with Michigan's Ashley Lau taking home individual title honors after shooting 203(-7).
Veteran Knight Ana Laura Collado paced the team with an even 70 score on the final day to finish at 218(+8), tying her for 26th place.
Junior Tunrada Piddon and senior Alyssa Lamoureux both wrapped up tied for 33rd place after shooting 219(+9) over three rounds. Piddon shot 2-over 72 on the final day while Lamoureux turned in a 3-over 73.
Freshman Zoe Allaux finished tied for 50th place with a 224(+14) total after shooting 77(+7) on Sunday, while sophomore Camille Banzet place tied for 58th with a 226(+16) score following a 2-over 72 final round.
With the Lady Gator Invitational now in the books, the Knights will enjoy a week off before heading to Kiawah Island, South Carolina for the Briar's Creek Invitational from March 14-15.
