ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF men's tennis team signed Yassine Dlimi for the 2022-23 season, Director of Tennis John Roddick announced today.
"We are excited for Yassine to join our program," Roddick said, "He was one of the top players in Africa and her will make an immediate impact on our team. We cannot wait to get started with him!"
Yassine Dlimi comes to UCF with a lot of experience and high rankings. Dlimi has a career-high ITF Junior Ranking of 67 with a juniors record of 24-8 and has reached a ranking as high as No. 4 in Morocco.
The Casablanca, Morocco native, has found success in many international tournaments. Dlimi was crowned the singles champion at the ITF J3 Cairo and the ITF J5 Casablanca tournaments. He was also named the doubles champion at the ITF JB2 tournament this past fall.
Additionally, he was the singles runner up at both the ITF JB2 Sousse and J2 Cairo tournaments and the doubles runner up in four tournaments, including J3 Cairo, J3 Istanbul, J3 Meknes, and J5 Cairo.
"I like the placement of the academy in the US, I like the coach, and the level of the university is high," Yassine Dlimi said.
