ORLANDO – The UCF men's golf team is back in action this week as the team is in Placida, Florida for the Coral Creek Club Invitational, hosted by FGCU. The Knights will tee off at 8:15 a.m. ET on Monday, Feb. 28.
Teams will play 36 holes on Monday before wrapping up with an 18-hole final round on Tuesday at the par-71, 7,143-yard Coral Creek Club course. Fans can follow along with scores live on golfstat.com here.
The 16-team field at the Coral Creek Club Invitational includes UCF, No. 18 Texas A&M, FGCU, UNF, Kent State, Jacksonville, Liberty, Illinois State, South Alabama, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Toledo, North Texas, and three American Athletic Conference foes in South Florida, Memphis and Cincinnati.
Following the week's qualifier, the Knights will roll out a lineup consisting of Clement Charmasson, Egor Eroshenko, Johnny Travale, Luis Carrera and Jonah Leach. The event will mark the first at the college level for the freshman Leach.
Markus Braadlie will compete as an individual in the Coral Creek Club Invitational.
QUALIFYING INFORMATION
- Clement Charmasson will play in the first spot in the lineup at the Coral Creek Club Invitational as a result of tying for first place in the four-round qualifier with a score of +4.
- Egor Eroshenko will play in the second spot in the lineup at the Coral Creek Club Invitational as a result of finishing third in the four-round qualifier with a score of +6.
- Johnny Travale will play in the third spot in the lineup at the Coral Creek Club Invitational as a result of finishing fourth in the four-round qualifier with a score of +7.
- Luis Carrera will play in the fourth spot in the lineup at the Coral Creek Club Invitational as a coaches' pick. Luis has the third best tournament season scoring average on the team (71.83) and a World Amateur Golf Ranking of 283. His Competitive NCAA Record for the '21-22 season is 305-99-12.
- Jonah Leach will play in the fifth spot in the lineup at the Coral Creek Club Invitational as a coaches' pick. Jonah finished fourth in the modified qualifier with a +4 total.
