ORLANDO – The divisional round of the NFL Playoffs was wild all weekend long, but arguably no game was better than Sunday evening's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game that saw Varsity Knight Gabriel Davis set a new NFL Playoffs record with four receiving touchdowns.
Davis, who ranks in UCF's top 10 for career touchdowns, career receptions, and career receiving yards, was a member of the Knights' 2017 team that won the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and National Championship.
His Bills couldn't pull out the victory, losing 42-36 in overtime, but Davis did everything he could catching more touchdowns in a single NFL Playoff game than any other receiver in history. His 201 receiving yards were also the ninth most in a single NFL Playoff game.
One of One. @DavisGB1 just became the first player in NFL history to score 4 Receiving TDs in a playoff game! #BuiltByUCFpic.twitter.com/3EWr3OhXMa

Davis also scored one touchdown in the Bills' wildcard game, giving him five receiving touchdowns in the playoffs, which is tied for the third most all-time in a single NFL Playoffs, trailing only Jerry Rice's six in 1988 and Larry Fitzgerald's seven in 2008. Davis only played in two games, while Rice played in three and Fitzgerald played in four.
With 18 touchdown receptions in his first two seasons, Davis is tied for the ninth most in the NFL during that span and has the most of any player from the 2020 draft class.
When you combine Davis's five touchdowns with Matt Prater's field goal in Arizona's wildcard game, UCF has produced 33 points in the NFL Playoff through the first two weekends. That's more than any other college, besting Florida (27) and South Carolina (25) for the top spot.
