VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – UCF junior Tunrada Piddon held steady in first place and the Knights shot a combined 283(+3) on Tuesday at the Evie Odom Invitational to sit in sixth place with one round to go.
Piddon hit her stride on the back nine on Sunday, knocking down three birdies to finish day one at 3-under par. The Thailand native kept the momentum rolling on Tuesday with four more birdies and even an eagle, helping her to secure a 4-under 66 score for the day.
At 133(-7), Piddon leads second place by two strokes. If she shoots under par in round three, she will set a new Evie Odom Invitational record for the lowest 54-hole score (currently 203(-7), Elizabeth Moon, UCF).
UCF freshman Zoe Allaux also had a nice day in the event, shooting 69(-1) to bring her two-day total to 145(+5), good for T30. Meanwhile, Camille Banzet carded a 3-over 75 to fall to T25.
Rounding things out, Jess Baker posted another 73(+3) and Alyssa Lamoureux shot 77(+7), good for T37 and T59, respectively.
Playing individually, Ana Laura Collado is tied for 61st place with a 79-74=153(+13) score.
