Women's Golf Posts Strong Day Two at Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Led by sophomore Camille Banzet, the UCF women's golf team soared Saturday afternoon in Wilmington, North Carolina as the Knights climbed the leaderboard to finish day two of the Landfall Tradition in fourth place.
 
With a combined score of 578(+2), UCF currently leads some of the top ranked programs in the country in No. 4 Virginia (584, +8), No. 7 Wake Forest (581, +5), No. 9 Texas (589, +13) and more.
 
After a slow start to the tournament on Friday, Banzet was electric in round two for the Knights. With a 5-under 67 total, she tied two other golfers for the round low. Her two-day total is at 142(-2), tying her for fifth place overall headed into the final round.
 
Senior Alyssa Lamoureux followed up her strong opening round performance (1-under 71) with an even 72 in round two, putting her tied for 11th place.
 
Currently tied for 30th place are sophomore Jess Baker and freshman Zoe Allaux as the pair both shot 2-over 74 on Friday and 1-over 73 in round two. Finally, junior Tunrada Piddon turned in a 4-over 76 score to bring her two-day total to 150(+6), putting her tied for 52nd.
