WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Knights are in Wilmington, North Carolina as they are set to tee off in the Landfall Tradition this weekend, looking to cap off their fall schedule with a big victory.
The three-day tournament tees off on Friday, Oct. 29 at 8:30 a.m. and runs through Sunday, Oct. 31, with teams playing one 18-hole round of golf each day. Team will play on the Par-72, 6,150-yard Pete Dye Course.
The UCF lineup will consist of the same five that guided the Knights to a championship at the Evie Odom Invitational just three weeks ago, consisting of Tunrada Piddon, Alyssa Lamoureux, Camille Banzet, Jess Baker and Zoe Allaux.
Piddon is fresh off an individual win as the junior from Thailand won the individual title at the Evie Odom Invitational, breaking the UCF record for the lowest 54-hole total along the way. Piddon shot 3-under par or better in all three rounds of the event and capped off her incredible performance with a 67(-3) final round, including a hole-in-one, to secure first place. Her three-round score of 200(-10) is the lowest in program history and Evie Odom Invitational history (both were previously 203, -7 by Elizabeth Moon).
The Landfall Tradition is hosted by the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Fans can follow along with scores live on golfstat.com here.
The rest of the stacked field of teams participating includes No. 4 Virginia, No. 7 Texas, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 9 Michigan, No. 11 Wake Forest, No. 16 Florida State, Clemson, Furman, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, NC State, North Carolina, Penn State, Purdue, and Virginia Tech.
The Knights will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Friday from hole 10. UCF is paired with Michigan and Furman to open things up.
