ORLANDO – A total of 11 former UCF football players saw action in week 6 of the NFL season over the weekend, including a pair of kickers in Matthew Wright and Matt Prater that made some history on Sunday.
Wright connected on all three of his field goal attempts, including the game-tying 54-yarder with 3:40 to play and the game-winning 53 yard field with no time remaining as the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Miami Dolphins 23-20 in London. He became the first kicker in NFL history to make multiple field goals of 50-plus yards in the last four minutes of the fourth quarter in a single game.

Prater, meanwhile, hit all three of his field goals, albeit in less dramatic fashion as the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Cleveland Browns 37-14. Prater hit from 36, 51 and 33 and became the 24th player in NFL history with 1,500 career points scored. He added to his NFL record of 62 made field goals of 50 or more yards.
