ORLANDO – While the UCF football team had a weekend off the field, 11 former Knights saw action in the NFL during Week 3, including Jordan Franks, who was called up to the Cleveland Browns active roster and played both on offense and special teams in a win over the Chicago Bears.
Franks has been on the Browns' practice squad for the first two weeks and saw his first game action of the 2021 season on Sunday. He played nine offensive snaps at tight end and 11 on special teams, or 41 percent of the special teams snaps. It marked the eight game played in his NFL career and the first since Dec. 29, 2019 as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.
We have elevated TE Jordan Franks to the active roster.
