Allaux Ties UCF Record, Knights Climb Leaderboard

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Knights climbed the leaderboard and a program record was tied in a successful second day for UCF at the Bryan National Collegiate on Monday.
 
Playing at Bryan Park Champions Course in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Knights were led by freshman Zoe Allaux, who tied the program round-low record with a 7-under 65 score. Allaux knocked down seven birdies and did not shoot over par on any hole to secure the lowest single-round score in the event so far. 
 
Following the record setting performance, Allaux is tied for 12th place overall with teammate Tunrada Piddon, who also had a solid day two, shooting 70(-2) to bring her total in the tournament to 145(+1).

The duo of Allaux and Piddon helped move UCF into the top five in the tournament with one round to go. At 587(+11), UCF sits 17 strokes back from leaders Wake Forest. To view the full leaderboard, click here.
 
UCF sophomore Camille Banzet, who led all Knights with a 2-under 70 round one, stumbled on Monday with a 78(+6) day to fall to T21. Meanwhile, Jess Baker tied her round one score with another 75(+3) total and Alyssa Lamoureux shot 79(+7) for the second straight day to bring her two-day total to 158(+14).
 
Playing individually, Ana Laura Collado shot 82(+10) to bring her two-day total to 158(+14), good for 51st place.

The Knights will tee off in the final round of the Bryan National Collegiate Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. Full results from UCF's first two rounds can be found below.
