GREENSBORO, N.C. – Day one of the Bryan National Collegiate is in the books and the Knights finished the day in eighth place after shooting 299(+11).
 
The Knights, who checked in with their highest ranking in program history (sixth) in the initial Golfweek Top-25 rankings released on September 18, are 19 strokes back from leaders Campbell, who sit in first place after round one with a 280(-8) total.
 
Second-year Knight Camille Banzet led the team as she was the only UCF golfer to finish the day under par after turning in a 70(-2) score on three birdies and a bogey. At two-under-par, Banzet is tied for sixth place following the first day of action in Greensboro, North Carolina.
 
Tunrada Piddon and Jess Baker both finished tied for 29th place on the day after each carded a 3-over 75. Meanwhile, UCF senior Alyssa Lamoureux shot 79(+7) while freshman Zoe Allaux turned in an 80(+8) first round.
 
Playing individually, UCF's Ana Laura Collado, the longest tenured Knight on the squad, is tied for 34th place at the end of Sunday with a score of 76(+4).

The Knights will tee off in round two of the tournament Monday morning at 8:30 a.m.
