UCF Women's Golf Season Preview

Schedule Release Roster Preview

ORLANDO – The UCF women's golf season is set to kick off in less than a week and after reaching the NCAA regional round for the third time in the last five seasons in 2020-21, head coach Emily Marron and company will look to build on that success this season.

Marron, who enters year 10 as the Knights' head coach in 2021-22, recently signed a contract extension that will see her guide the Knights through the 2025-26 season.

In nine seasons at the helm, Marron has seen her team make six NCAA Regional appearances and two NCAA National Championship appearances. In conference play under Marron's oversight, UCF has won two conference championships and has finished in the top-two for six of the nine seasons. The Knights have also earned four Freshman of the Year awards, three Player of the Year accolades, and 16 all-conference selections in that time.

In 2020-21, For the third time in five seasons, the Knights earned an NCAA Regional bid, after finishing fourth in the American Athletic Conference Championship. The Knights' top finish of the spring came in the final tournament of the season with a win at the Brickyard Invitational.

UCF is also receiving votes in the 2021-22 Preseason WGCA Coaches Poll, announced in August.

"Most of our players have competed on the courses we will see throughout the year, and that course knowledge should be a big advantage for us."

The Knights, who are coming off a season in which they reached the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time under Marron, will play four tournaments in the fall, all on the road, before kicking off the spring by hosting their annual UCF Challenge, from Feb. 6-8 at Eagle Creek Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Florida.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, UCF will play in the American Conference Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina from April 17-19. If UCF qualifies, NCAA Regionals will be from May 9-11 and the NCAA Championship will take place from May 20-26 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
