ORLANDO – After leading her team to its second NCAA National Championship appearance in the last three seasons, UCF women's golf head coach Emily Marron signed a contract extension that will see her guide the Knights through the 2025-26 season.

"I am really proud of the program we have built here at UCF and am so thankful for the support of our administration," said Marron. "Both [UCF Athletics Director Terry Mohajir] and [UCF Women's Golf Sport Administrator Brad Stricklin] see our vision for the future and I am so thankful for their trust in me to lead our team.

"UCF is a special place, and I am excited to continue to grow and build on our success."

A two-time American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, Marron has taken the UCF women's golf program to unprecedented heights in her nine years as head coach of the Knights.

In 2020-21, For the third time in five seasons, the Knights earned an NCAA Regional bid, after finishing fourth in the American Athletic Conference Championship. The Knights' top finish of the spring came in the final tournament of the season with a win at the Brickyard Invitational.

Marron guided two golfers to conference honors in 2020-21 as Tunrada Piddon and Ana Laura Collado were named All-American Athletic Conference, each for the first time in their careers.

UCF entered the NCAA Louisville Regional ranked No. 34, where they shot a +17 across the three-round tournament, finishing tied for eighth and missing advancing to the National Championship by just two strokes.

Marron's student-athletes have also excelled in the classroom with 20 players selected as Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholars over the last nine years.

The Knights are geared up for another special season in 2021-22 as UCF will return key players in Piddon, Collado, Alyssa Lamoureux, Camille Banzet and Jess Baker.
