ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF softball team has added another transfer to the 2022 roster as outfielder Johneisha Rowe will join the Knights from FGCU for the upcoming season.
Rowe was a .388 hitter at FGCU over her first two seasons and was nearly impossible to nab on the base paths as she has swiped 49 bases in 52 tries. She hit an impressive .481 over 27 games in her freshman season with the Eagles which ranked 19th in the country and first in the ASUN.
The .481 mark was the second highest in a single season for FGCU which was bolstered by 13 multi-hit games and five games with three or more hits. Her rookie campaign saw her steal 18 bases as well as piece together a 12-game hitting streak. She topped that with a 17-game hitting streak in her 2021 season and had a five-game stolen base streak during that time.
The Avon Park native made the ASUN All-Conference First Team as well as the All-Freshman Team in her final season with FGCU. She is the seventh addition so far to head coach Cindy Ball-Malone's recruiting class.
