Knights Set to Tee Off NCAA Louisville Regional

Orlando, Fla. -  The UCF women's golf team continues their 2021 campaign at the NCAA Louisville Regional in Louisville, Ky. as they make their 15th postseason appearance in program history. UCF is set to tee off the tournament, Monday morning at 8:50 am ET.
 
The Knights are one of 18 schools selected for the Louisville Regional, hosted by University of Louisville. Since Head Coach Emily Marron took over the program during the 2012-12 season, the Knights have not missed an NCAA regional appearance.  
 
The NCAA Louisville Regional will be played at The University of Louisville Golf Club, a 6,289-yard, par 72 course. It will take place Monday, May 10 through Wednesday, May 12 at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky.
 
UCF is coming off of a fourth-place finish at the American Athletic Conference Championship, where Tunrada Piddon placed T4 after carding a four-over score through 54-holes. UCF had a pair of Knights named to the AAC Women's Golf All-Conference team, Tunrada Piddon and Ana Laura Collado picked up honors.

Knights Lineup

  1. Tunrada Piddon – Has led four of five tournaments for the Knights this spring, with her best score coming as a 215 (-1) at the Moon Golf Invitational. Was named to the AAC Women's Golf All-Conference Team at the conclusion of the Conference Championship.
  2. Ana Laura Collado – The Xalapa, Mexico native carded her best three-round score at the Brickyard Invitational with a 220 (+4) to place T3. Was named to the AAC Women's Golf All-Conference Team at the conclusion of the Conference Championship.
  3. Alyssa Lamoureux – Recently qualified for the U.S. Women's Open as the first active member of the UCF women's golf team. She shot 75-70=145 (+3) in the two-day qualifier at the Bradenton CC.
  4. Camille Banzet – Finished the three-round Brickyard Invitational with a 224 (+8) to earn her first top-10 finish at T7.
  5. Chinatsu Kobayashi – Competed as an individual at the Brickyard Invitational to earn a top five finish with a 223 (+7) performance over the three day tournament.

Freshman Jess Baker also traveled with the team as the Knights substitute, as teams are allowed to make substitutions between NCAA regional rounds and at the finals site for both stroke play and match play in 2021.
