Orlando, Fla. – The UCF baseball team is set for another home American Athletic Conference series for the second week in a row, hosting Wichita State this weekend. The series is set to open on Friday, May 7 with a doubleheader, first pitch for game one is set for 2 p.m. Saturday's game is scheduled for 4 p.m. and the series finale will come at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 9.
Marc Daniels will have the call on FM96.9/AM740 The Game, and all four games will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Knights are coming off of a 3-1 weekend against Memphis, moving to 22-22 (12-8 AAC) on the year after winning their second conference series of 2021. UCF enters the four-game weekend series with the Shockers in third place in The American.
Scouting the Shockers
- The all-time series dates back to 2018, and is tied, 3-3. Wichita State took two of three the last time the two clubs met in 2019.
- The Shockers are coming off of a four-game series split against No. 8 East Carolina.
- Sitting at 22-17 (10-9 AAC) on the year, Wichita State is fourth in the league.
