UCF Concludes Season at NCAA Louisville Regional

Orlando, Fla. – The No. 34 UCF women's golf season came to an end Wednesday afternoon as the team wrapped up the final round of play in the NCAA Louisville Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club.  The Knights shot 293(+5) in the final round for a 881(+17) three-round total.  UCF finished tied for 8th place, ahead of No. 39 Tennessee, No. 48 Louisville, and No. 41 North Florida.

The low six teams and the low three individuals from each regional will advance to the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Golf National Championships; the Knights T8 finish missed the cut by just two strokes.

"We played a really solid round today and I am really proud of how hard they fought," said head coach Emily Marron after the third round. "Really happy to see Chinatsu shoot a two-under round on her last round as a Knight. For the team to only lose a regional by 9 shots and not advance is rare. This is great experience for a young team and something to really build upon."

Through all three rounds of the NCAA Louisville Regional, Ana Laura Collado and Tunrada Piddon matched each other, leading the Knights to each shooting 219 (+3) across the tournament. The pair finished T19 at the conclusion of the third round.

Chinatsu Kobayashi carded her best round of the regional on the final day, shooting two-under par to jump 23 positions on the final leaderboard, finishing T27.

Alyssa Lamouruex finished the tournament with improved scores in every round, shooting her best round with a 75 (+3) on the final day and a 228 (+12) total score. Freshman Camille Banzet also carded a 228 (+12) three-day score, after turning an 80 (+8) in the third round.
