UCF Heads to South Florida Invitational

ORLANDO – The UCF track and field team returns to action on Saturday, heading to Tampa for the South Florida Invitational.
The Knights open the day with the field events, starting with the hammer throw at noon. The Black and Gold head to the track at 4:20 p.m. for the 4x1 relay.
UCF opened outdoor action at home, hosting the Black and Gold Invitational. A trio of Knights made the most of their outdoor debuts. Asherah Collins and Rayniah Jones set the freshman records in the triple jump and 100-meter hurdles, respectively.
Valerie Lastra, who broke the UCF 5K and 6K cross country records in her first two races as a Knight, added another record to her resume as she broke the school record in the 3000-meter run.
