Briar's Creek Invitational Suspended in Second Round

Johns Island, S.C. – The UCF women's golf team wrapped up the first day of the Briar's Creek Invitational at the par 72, 6,110-yd course at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek. The Knights were scheduled to play two rounds on Monday but had their second round suspended due to darkness with three holes in the round left to play.
 
Freshman Jess Baker is leading the Knights through the first round, shooting a 74 (+2) through the first 18 holes. Tunrada Puddon and Alyssa Lamoureux each carded a 78 (+6) in the first round of the day.
 
Rounding out the Knights lineup, both Ana Laura Collado and Camille Banzet shot 80 (+8) in the first round. As a team, the Knights are shooting 310 (+22) through the first 18-holes, good enough for eighth out of 18 teams.
 
All five members of the Knights lineup have three holes left of the second round to finish on Tuesday, before advancing to the third round of the 54-hole tournament.
 
Play will resume Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. continuing through the final round with a shotgun start at approximately 9:00 a.m. Fans can follow along at golfstat.com.
