ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF baseball team continues its 2021 campaign with a four-game home and home set with North Florida this week. The Knights will travel to Jacksonville, Fla. on Wednesday to start the series, with first pitch set for 6 p.m., followed by a 6 p.m. start at John Euliano Park on Friday. UCF will return to Harmon Stadium on Saturday for game three with a 5 p.m. and the series finale will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday in Orlando, Fla.
The Knights (3-8) are looking to bounce back after falling in three one-run ballgames last week. UNF and UCF are 11-11 in the all-time series, with the Knights 2-0 in the last two meetings – both coming in 2019.
Gephry Pena currently leads the nation with 10 steals, and has only been caught stealing a single time in 2021. After picking up a pair of hits on Sunday's series finale vs. Liberty, Pena's on base streak is up to 15 straight games dating back to March 6th, 2020.
Colton Gordon was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll after his performance in game one of Friday's doubleheader against Liberty. Gordon tossed his first CG as a Knight, fanning 10 batters without allowing a single walk, and allowing just five hits.
