ORLANDO – The UCF women's basketball team continues its homestand on Saturday, hosting Temple in Addition Financial Arena.
 
UCF (12-2, 10-1 The American) and Temple (9-9, 9-6 The American) tip at 12 p.m. ET as game one of doubleheader basketball action. The game will stream on ESPN+.

KNIGHT LEADERS
• A pair of Knights are averaging double figures, led by Courtajia Sanders at 11.2 points per game. Following her second double-double of the season, Brittney Smith is averaging 10.2 points per contest.
• Diamond Battles leads the Knights with 4.1 assists and 2.3 steals per game and is just shy of double figure scoring, averaging 9.9 points per contest.
• Smith collected a career-best 13 rebounds in the win over Tulsa on Feb. 20, bumping her average to 6.2 boards per contest.
• Alisha Lewis, who has been UCF's leading scorer during its current seven-game win streak, averages 8.6 points per game on the season, and is second on the squad with 3.1 assists per contest.
• Masseny Kaba is the second-leading rebounder at 5.7 per game.. Kaba also averages 8.4 points per game for UCF.

DOMINANT DEFENSE
• In typical UCF fashion during the Coach ABE era, the Knights are among the best in the country defensively.
• In each of her five seasons at the helm, UCF has held its opponents under 57 points per game. The Knights are holding opponents to 50.4 points per game.
• UCF ranks fourth in the nation in scoring defense. Seven of the Knights' 14 opponents have been held below 50 points, with two (Virginia, Houston) held under 40.
• The Black and Gold are also holding their opponents to a 34.1 field goal percentage this season, which ranks 10th in the country.
• In each game this season, UCF has forced its opponent into double-digit turnovers, and ranks 31st nationally in turnovers forced (19.71).
  
CRUNCH TIME
• With just three games remaining in the regular season, UCF finds itself second in the league standings.
• The Knights are just behind No. 13 South Florida, with a pair of matchups against the Bulls on the docket to round out the regular season.
• The top six seeds will all have a first round bye at the 2021 Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Championship, which begins March 8 in Fort Worth, Texas.
 
SCOUTING TEMPLE
UCF continues home action in Addition Financial Arena with the second matchup against Temple this season. The Owls are 9-9 overall, with a 9-6 mark in league play, and have won two of their last three contests.
 
Mia Davis paces Temple with 18.7 points per game and leads with 7.9 rebounds per contest. Jasha Clinton averages 13.4 points and Alexa Williamson adds 11.3 points per game to make it a trio of Owls averaging double figures. Asonah Alexander averages 4.9 assists per game and 1.3 blocks per game while Williamson averages 1.5 blocks per contest. Clinton leads Temple with 1.7 steals per game.
 
The Owls hold a 9-6 advantage in the all-time series and the most recent victory, a 61-58 decision that is currently UCF's only conference loss in 2020-21. Since Coach ABE has taken over, the Knights are 5-3 against Temple, with seven of the eight contests decided by single digits.

UCF closes out the season with a pair of War on I-4 matchups against No. 13 South Florida. The Knights head to Tampa on Tuesday for a 5:30 p.m. contest on ESPN+. UCF rounds out the regular season hosting the Bulls in Addition Financial Arena on March 4.
