Piddon Leads Knights at UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla. – Sophomore Tunrada Piddon and freshman Jess Baker led the way for the Knights at the UCF Challenge, which came to a close Tuesday afternoon at Eagle Creek Golf Club.
 
Topping the Knights, Tunrada Piddon finished with a three round total of 219 (+3) after shooting 75 (+3) in the final round to finish T19. Jess Baker also concluded her UCF Challenge with a 75 (+3) in the final round, giving her a three round total of 222 (+6).
 
On arguably the toughest day of the tournament due to cold and windy conditions, Chinatsu Kobayashi shot an even par 72, her best round of the three.
 
After shooting back-to-back 1-under par rounds to start the tournament, Ana Laura Collado wrapped up her home tournament shooting 9-over. Rounding out the Knights team score, Alyssa Lamoureux finished the UCF Challenge shooting 228 (+12) across the three days.
 
Elizabeth Moon and Camille Banzet represented UCF as individuals at the UCF Challenge. In her first tournament as a Knight, Camille Banzet finished T47 with a final score of 224 (+8). Elizabeth Moon concluded the tournament carding 235 (+19).
 
Virginia, which entered the final round in third place, jumped up two positions to claim UCF Challenge Champions with a team score of 859 (-5), with Wake Forest taking second 860 (-4), and Miami placing third 867 (+3)
