ORLANDO – The No. 24 ranked UCF Softball team is adding a game to its 2021 schedule as No. 21 Missouri will come to Orlando on Wednesday, Feb. 24 for a 6:00 p.m. showdown with the Knights at the UCF Softball Complex.
The Tigers were scheduled to play three games in the Getterman Classic tournament in Waco, Texas from Feb. 19-20, but the recent weather rolling through Texas forced a cancellation of the event. In total, Missouri has had to cancel four games already this season.
"I know Missouri had some cancellations with the crazy weather that has been coming through over the past week, so they had the ability to get out here and play some teams in Florida and they gave us a call," said UCF Softball head coach Cindy Ball-Malone. "I think anyone that wants a strong game is going to want to play us and we're thinking the same thing with Missouri, so this was a great game to get, a great opportunity for our program and our season."
