ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's golf team returned to Eagle Creek Golf Club on Monday for the second round of the UCF Challenge. With two rounds completed, the Knights moved up two spots to T8 after shooting a 290 (+2) on the first day as a team and 294 (+6) on day two.
Taking the lead for the Knights, Ana Laura Collado drained back-to-back birdies to secure her second straight 1-under par performance. Collado heads into the final round of play sitting T6 with a two-day score of 142 (-2).
Tunrada Piddon is holding steady through two days, shooting par across the first two days of the tournament with a 74 (+2) in her second round. Jess Baker shot a 74 (+2) to put her XX with a two-day score of 147 (+3).
Chinatsu Kobayashi and Alyssa Lamoureux rounded out the Knights lineup, shooting 77 (+5) and 75 (+3), respectively. Lamoureux improved on her day one score by four strokes.
Competing as individuals, Camille Banzet carded a 75 (+3) for a two-round score of 145 (+1) and Elizabeth Moon shot a 78 (+6) to put her at 152 (+8) across the two days.
Day two of the UCF Challenge saw a shake up in the tournament leaders, as Houston jumped up to first position with a 281 (-7) in round two, with Wake Forest moving into second and Virginia also making a jump into third.
