UCF Tees Off Spring 2021 Slate

ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's golf team teed off the 2021 campaign with the first round of the UCF Challenge, held at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Sunday. As a team, UCF currently sits in 10th position after shooting 290 (+2) in round one.
 
Tunrada Piddon is leading the way for the Knights after shooting a 70 (-2) on the first day of the UCF Challenge, followed closely by Ana Laura Collado coming in one-under par with a 70.
 
Freshman Jess Baker also had a solid first round for the Knights. She earned par on 17 of 18 holes to shoot a 1-over 73, while Ana Laura Collado found herself one stroke under par after the first day.Chinatsu Kobayashi finished her day 4-over par with a 76 and Alyssa Lamoureux, who tallied a 79 (+7), rounded out the team lineup for the Black and Gold
 
Camille Banzet and Elizabeth Moon are also competing in the tournament as individuals for UCF. In Banzet's debut with UCF, she shot 2-under par 70, while Elizabeth Moon finished with 74 (+2)
 
No. 7 Arkansas holds the lead after the first round at 15-under. Kent State is in second at 276 (-12), while Miami and Wake Forest are tied for third at 11-under
