ORLANDO, Fla. – The Knights are set to tee off the 2021 campaign as the host of the UCF Challenge from Jan. 31 – Feb 2, marking the team's only home event of the 2021 spring campaign. The 54-hole tournament will be played at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Lake Nona, a par 72 course totaling 6349-yards.
UFC will compete in a 17- team field that features four Golfstat.com Top-50 teams, including No. 7 Arkansas, No. 17 Kentucky, No. 24 Mississippi State, and No. 33 Iowa State.
Competing for the Black and Gold will be Tunrada Piddon, Chinatsu Kobayashi, Jess Baker, Ana Laura Collado, Alyssa Lamoureux. A season ago, Tunrada Piddon claimed first place in two events while carrying the lowest par 72 average on the team at 71.85. Alyssa Lamoureux and Ana Laura Collado each earned top-5 finishes during the 2019-2020 campaign, coming at the Princess Anne Invitational and the Rollins Legends Invitational respectively.
Additionally, Elizabeth Moon and Camille Banzet will take the course to compete as individuals. For Banzet, a freshman from Strasbourg, France, the UCF Challenge will be her first as a Knight, while Elizabeth Moon earned two Top-20 finishes prior to the cancellation of the 2019-2020 season.
The UCF Challenge is set to tee off with a staggered start at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31 with groups starting on the first and tenth tee box every 10 minutes.
