ORLANDO – The UCF track and field team opens indoor action this weekend as the Knights head to Houston for the H-Town SpeedCity Series on Friday.
"I have a young group, but I feel like, across the board, they're competitors," UCF head coach Dana Boone said. "I'm really excited to see them perform. We'll just get our starting point from there."
In all, 13 Knights slated to make their collegiate debuts in Houston, including eight true freshmen.
The Black and Gold begin action at 11 a.m. ET with three Knights in the weight throw. Track events begin at 1:30 p.m.
The meet will be streamed via the Houston Track & Field Facebook page and will have live results.
UCF returns to Houston for its second indoor meet on Feb. 13.
