FROM THE GAME NOTES
perriman is the man
• Breshad Perriman is making a name for himself, and not just because his father, Brett, excelled in the NFL. The junior WR paces UCF with 37 catches for 767 yards and eight scores.
• Perriman has a touchdown reception in six straight outings, the first Knight to accomplish that feat since Tyson Hinshaw in 2000 (prior to that, Bret Cooper had a string of eight consecutive games with a TD catch in 1992).
• Perriman has a reception in 29 straight games, good for the sixth-longest streak in school history.
• His eight touchdowns are one shy of cracking UCF's single-season top-10. His 15 career touchdowns are one shy of entering the all-time top-10.
• Perriman needs just 34 yards to become the 11th player in UCF history to achieve 2,000 receiving yards in a career.

FROM THE PREVIEW
After days of practice in the hot Florida sun, plenty of early mornings and late evenings in the film room and hundreds of hours in the weight room, the UCF Knights (8-3, 6-1 AAC) will have a chance to reach their goal Thursday night.

A victory over East Carolina gives the Knights their second consecutive American Athletic Conference Championship. In order to accomplish that goal, UCF will need to post a win against a tough ECU Pirates (8-3, 5-2) team Thursday night in Greenville, North Carolina.

FROM THE GAME RECAP
It looked like it was going to be a huge comeback for East Carolina Thursday night at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. But the Knights kept the faith. And the Pirates left just a little too much time as the Knights won their second straight American Athletic Conference title on a Hail Mary.

Trailing 30-26 after giving up a 26-9 lead, UCF somehow had one last chance. With no time on the clock, sophomore quarterback Justin Holman launched a spiral toward the sky and the goal line. Miraculously, junior wide receiver Breshad Perriman came down with it at the 1-yard line and went into the end zone untouched. It set off a celebration unlike anything ever seen in UCF history.

FROM THE POSTGAME NOTES
• UCF claimed back-to-back conference titles for the first time in its history.
• It was its fourth conference championship since 2007 when it won its first league crown (2007, 2010, 2013, 2014).
• Breshad Perriman caught the game-winning 51-yard touchdown as time expired and finished with 139 yards on four receptions.
• Jacoby Glenn hauled in his seventh interception of the season, which is one shy of the UCF single-season record. He also has nine career interceptions, good for sixth on the all-time chart.
