ORLANDO – Four UCF Softball players currently playing summer ball in the Florida Gulf Coast League have been named to the league's All-Star rosters. Announced on Tuesday, Hayley Bejarano, Madisyn Davis, Kasey Fava and Molly Rainey will represent the Knights in the FGCL All-Star game.
The 2020 Sun and Surf FGCL All-Star Game will take place Saturday, July 18 at 6:30pm E.T at the Lakewood Ranch Softball Complex in Bradenton, Fla. The game will be preceded by a home run derby and an award ceremony. No Knights will be participating in the derby. The full All-Star game rosters can be viewed here.
Competing against other college softball players in the FGCL, UCF senior Hayley Bejarano has posted a slash line of .364/.432/.606 with two home runs this summer. She is fourth on the team with a 1.038 OPS. Sophomore Kasey Fava has also enjoyed a successful summer to this point, batting .300 with a stolen base.
In 32 innings pitched this summer, sophomore Madi Davis is 3-0 with a 1.75 ERA and 23 strikeouts. Accurate cumulative statistics could not be found for sophomore Molly Rainey.
