Three Knights Honored by WGCA

ORLANDO, Fla. – A Trio of Knights were honored on Monday as All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association. Sophomores Elizabeth Moon, Alyssa Lamoureux, and freshman Tunrada Piddon were among 1,401 women's collegiate golfers recognized across the country.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

Alyssa Lamoureux and Elizabeth Moon each make their second appearance on the list. Piddon added to her impressive award haul from her rookie campaign. The Thailand native picked up two first-place finishes on the year, with her first victory was at the Mason Rudolph Championship when she carded 210 (-6). Piddon's second individual win came at the Lady Gator Invitational, in the form of a one-hole tiebreaker victory after turning in a 212 (+2) in the tournament.

Lamoureux played in six tournaments in her second campaign with the Knights. She averaged 72.61 strokes per round and posted her season-best finish at the Princess Anne Invitational.

Moon was also tabbed for the second straight season. The Forrest City, Ark. native played in all seven tournaments for the Black and Gold, averaged 73.28 strokes per round, and posted a season-best finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship.
