With the regular season beginning to wind down, the race for a first round bye at the 2020 American Athletic Conference Championship begins to tighten. Cincinnati and South Florida are currently tied for second in the league standings, with Tulane sitting in fourth. UCF is just behind the Green Wave and will play three of the top four teams over the next week.

KNIGHT NOTES
UCF returns to Addition Financial Arena on a three-game win streak after picking up a road win in Houston on Feb. 12. The Knights scored the first nine points and never looked back in a 67-49 win over the Cougars.

The Knights are led offensively by Kay Kay Wright who averages 16.6 points per game, 4.4 assists per game and 2.3 steals per game.

The Knights have also seen a sophomore surge from Brittney Smith, who joins Wright as a double-digit scorer for the Black and Gold. Thirteen double-digit performances, including a pair of 20-point games, bumped her to an 11.1 points per game scoring average. The Orlando native is also second in rebounding with 5.2 boards per game.

Masseny Kaba leads the Knights with 6.3 boards per game and has 19 blocks on the season while averaging 8.3 points per game. Sianni Martin is UCF's third-leading scorers with 9.3 points per game.

The Knights rank 28th nationally in turnovers forced at 20.00 per game, having forced 21 of their 22 opponents into 10 or more turnovers. The Knights hold a 3.32 turnover margin which ranks 53rd in the nation.

UCF leads The American and ranks 55th nationally with a 74.1 free throw percentage.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
UCF hosts Cincinnati for the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Bearcats are 16-7 overall and are tied with Tulane for second in the league standings with a 7-3 mark in conference.
A trio of Bearcats average double figures, led by IImar'I Thomas' league-leading 19.7 points per game. She also leads Cincinnati with 8.4 rebounds per game and ranks 14th nationally with a 59.7 field goal percentage.  Antoinette Miller averages 15.8 points per game and Angel Rizor averages 11.4 points per contest for Cincinnati.

A win in Cincinnati on Jan. 12 extended the Bearcats lead to 8-6 in the overall series and saw UCF's four-game win streak against Cincinnati come to an end.
