UCF Men’s Golf Inks Egor Eroshenko

ORLANDO - On Tuesday, UCF Men's Golf Head Coach Bryce Wallor announced the signing of Egor Eroshenko to a National Letter of Intent as a member of the 2020 freshman class.

Hailing from Russia, Eroshenko's resume boasts several national and international achievements. As one of the premier players in all of amateur golf, Egor currently holds the 830th spot in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

Eroshenko has won multiple Junior Golf events. In 2018, he was the Zavidovo Juniors International Champion, the US Kids – Venice Open Champion and the Russian Junior Boys Champion.
To add to that, in 2019, Eroshenko won the Evolve Spanish Junior Championship, the Russian Amateur Championship and was the co-medalist at the European Boys Team Championship held in Wroclaw, Poland.

"Egor Eroshenko comes to UCF with a proven tournament record and a strong academic resume," said UCF Men's Golf Head Coach Bryce Wallor. "Throughout his junior career, Egor has competed and won on an international stage. We believe Egor has a fundamentally sound golf swing and generates a great deal of power due to the efficiency of his technique. It was clear from the start of this recruiting process that academics are an important factor to the Eroshenko family and that leads us to believe that Egor will be a standout in the classroom and on the golf course during his time in Orlando."

Eroshenko is the second confirmed signee to the UCF Men's Golf 2020 class after Leo Herrera also signed his National Letter of Intent back in November. You can read the full Herrera signing release here.

The UCF men's golf team, which finished first overall at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational this past fall, will resume its 2019-20 schedule in February as they head to Gainesville, Fla. to play in the Gator Invitational. You can view their full 2019-20 schedule here
