KNIGHT NOTES
UCF's game-tying shot bounced off the rim at the buzzer in a 67-65 loss at Temple on Jan. 29. The Knights rallied from a 12-point deficit to pull within one with just over 30 seconds left in the contest but came up short as time expired.

The Knights are led offensively by Kay Kay Wright who averages 15.7 points per game, 4.5 assists per game and 2.2 steals per game.

The Knights have also seen a sophomore surge from Brittney Smith, who joins Wright as a double-digit scorer for the Black and Gold. Ten double-digit performances, including a pair of 20-point games, bumped her to a 10.7 points per game scoring average. The Orlando native is also second in rebounding with 5.3 boards per game.

Masseny Kaba leads the Knights with 6.5 boards per game and has 18 blocks on the season. Kaba and Sianni Martin are tied as UCF's third-leading scorers with 8.5 points per game each.

The Knights rank 37th nationally in turnovers forced at 19.84 per game. The Knights hold a 3.84 turnover margin which ranks 47th in the nation.

UCF leads The American and ranks 43rd nationally with a 74.5 free throw percentage.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS
The Mustangs are 9-10 on the season with a 3-4 mark in league play. SMU enters Saturday on a two-game win streak, having topped Tulsa and Wichita State and defeated SMU on Jan. 21 for a 1-4 mark in league play.

A pair of Mustangs average double figures, led by Kayla White's 10.7 points per game. Johnasia Cash nearly averages a double-double with 10.5 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per contest. Cash also has a team-high 27 blocks. Reagan Bradley averages 4.5 assists per game and 1.9 steals per contest for SMU.

The Mustangs lead the all-time series 13-11, but the Knights have won the last five meetings between the squads.
