UCF Heads To Tulane For Wednesday Tilt

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's basketball team continues its road swing with a midweek matchup at Tulane on Wednesday.
 
The Knights (10-6, 2-2 The American) and the Green Wave (10-8, 5-0 The American) tip at 8 p.m. ET in Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.

KNIGHT NOTES
UCF picked up its 10th win of the season with a 64-57 War On I-4 win over South Florida in Tampa on Sunday. The Knights are led offensively by Kay Kay Wright who averages 16.0 points per game, 3.9 assists per game and 2.3 steals per game.

Eight double-digit performances, including a career-high 21 points against ECU, bumped Brittney Smith to a 10.1 points per game scoring average. Smith is second in rebounding with 5.2 boards per game.

Sianni Martin averages 9.5 points per game and is shooting 43.5 percent from beyond the arc. Masseny Kaba leads the Knights with 6.6 boards per game and also averages 8.2 points per game.
 
The Knights defense has stepped up this season. UCF ranks 35th nationally in turnovers forced at 20.13 per game. The Knights hold a 3.19 turnover margin which ranks 70th in the nation.
 
UCF leads The American and ranks 36th nationally with a 75.3 free throw percentage.

SCOUTING THE GREEN WAVE
UCF heads to New Orleans for the lone regular season contest against the Green Wave. Tulane is 10-8 on the season, with a perfect 5-0 mark in The American and is on a six-game win streak.
 
Krystal Freeman leads the Green Wave with 14.4 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. Arsula Clark averages 13.3 points per game and 1.8 steals per game. Mia Heidi averages 2.2 blocks per game.
 
The Green Wave lead the all-time series 13-10. The teams split last season's meetings, with each home team picking up the win.
