ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's basketball team heads to Cincinnati for its first American Athletic Conference road contest on Sunday.
The Knights (9-4, 1-0 The American) and the Bearcats (10-5, 1-1 The American) tip at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN2 in Fifth Third Arena.

KNIGHT NOTES
UCF opened league play with a 91-55 win over ECU on Jan. 5. The Knights are led offensively Kay Kay Wright who averages 14.8 points per game and 4.2 assists per game.
Five consecutive double-digit performances, capped by a career-high 21 points, from Brittney Smith pushed her scoring average to 9.9 points per game. Smith is second in rebounding with 5.2 boards per game.
Sianni Martin averages 9.5 points per game and Georgia Gayle averages 8.9 points per game for the Black and Gold. Masseny Kaba leads the Knights with 6.2 boards per game and 1.1 blocks per contest. Kaba also averages 8.1 points per game.
The Knights defense has stepped up this season. UCF ranks 24th nationally in turnovers forced at 21.15 per game. The Knights hold a 4.31 turnover margin which ranks 41st in the nation.
UCF also leads The American and ranks 26th nationally with a 76.2 free throw percentage.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Cincinnati enters the weekend with a 10-5 overall record and a 1-1 mark in league play. The Bearcats dropped their conference opener at South Florida before earning a midweek 73-66 victory at Memphis. IImar'I Thomas leads the Bearcats with 19.7 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game. Antoinette Miller averages 15.0 points per game and Angel Rizor averages 10.6 points per contest.
UCF and Cincinnati were both picked to finish third in the league's preseason poll.
The Bearcats hold a 7-6 lead in the all-time series, but the Knights have won the last four meetings. UCF claimed a 66-58 win in the American Athletic Conference Championship semifinals last season to make its first appearance in The American title game.
