Knights Wrap Up Fall Season

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's tennis team has concluded their fall tournament season on Sunday as they have reached the end of Seminole All-Conference Showdown. A pair of Knights participated as Domenika Turkovic and Valentina Martin looked to end their seasons on a high note.

Saturday
UCF's day began with a doubles victory as Turkovic and Martin paired up to defeat Troy's Ju Hsieh/Svitlica in a tight 6-4 match.

In singles play, Turkovic picking up a Power 6 win as she defeated Arkansas' Myrna Olaya with ease, winning in straight sets by a count of 6-1, 6-0. Turkovic would pick up an extra win later in the day via a walkover. Martin was locked in a tight battle with Sean Lodzki of UNF for the entirety of their match. Unfortunately, after dropping the first set and battling through a tough second frame, Martin had to retire as the score would officially go down as 6-4, 5-3 ret. In favor of Lodzki.

Sunday
Turkovic picked up another singles win on Sunday afternoon, defeating Furman's Madison Dillon in straight sets by a score of 6-4, 6-3. Martin was unable to participate in her singles match, receiving a loss via a walkover.
