UCF Finishes Day One of Princess Anne Invitational

Virginia Beach, Va. (UCFKnights.com) – On the first day of the Princess Anne Invitational on Friday, the UCF women's golf team shot 286 (+6) after 18 holes.

UCF, who won the Invitational in 2018 after shooting 857(+2) are sitting T4, trailing only No. 39 LSU, No. 42 Virginia Tech, and Chattanooga with their 286 first-round score.

Leading the charge for the Knights, Maria Balcazar sits T6 after posting a 69 (-1) score in round one. Balcazar is the only member of the UCF squad to finish under par after the first round.

Chinatsu Kobayashi and Ana Laura Collado each finished two strokes over par with a 70 in the first round of the tournament, resulting in a T25 placement. After earning medalist position the last time out and September American Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Month, Tunrada Piddon comes in T29 after round one, shooting 73(+3).

Sophomore Elizabeth Moon wrapped up her first day in Virginia shooting 74(+4). Competing as an individual this weekend, Alyssa Lamoureux shot even par to put her T12 and is the second-best of the six UCF members competing in the Invitational.
