Women's Golf Prepare for Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's golf team is back in action this weekend for their fourth and final tournament of the fall slate. Starting Friday, Oct. 25, the Landfall Tradition will run through Sunday, Oct. 27. Hosted by the University of North Carolina Wilmington, the 54-hole tournament will take place at the Country Club of Landfall (par 72, 7020 yards).

The Knights are ready for the trip to Wilmington, N.C., to face 17 other teams including eight teams placed in the GolfWeek and GolfStat.com top 25 polls – No. 9 South Carolina, No. 13 Alabama, No. 10/17 Michigan State, No. 14/16 Oklahoma State, No. 19 Illinois, No. 20/21 Virginia Tech, No. 24 Florida State, and No. 25/26. North Carolina.

Knights Lineup:

  1. Tunrada Piddon – Named the American Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Month in September, the freshman placed first in the Mason Rudolph Championship shooting 210 (-6).
  2. Alyssa Lamoureux – In the three-round Princess Anne Invitational, Lamoureux scored 207 (-3) finishing T5 overall.
  3. Maria Balcazar – The senior has a season-low of 221 (+5) at the Cougar Classic. During the Princess Anne Invitational, Baltazar placed T26.
  4. Elizabeth Moon – At the Mason Rudolph Championship, Moon placed T14 shooting 218 (+2).
  5. Chinatsu Kobayashi – Moon scored a par-even 216 during the Cougar Classic, finishing T25.

After placing fourth overall in the last tournament, the Knights are ready to face strong competition this weekend.
