NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UCFKnights.com) – After setting a single round record in their first tournament of the fall slate, the UCF women's golf team is back in action this weekend. Traveling to Nashville, Tenn., the Knights are ready for the Mason Rudolph Championship – a 54-hole tournament hosted by Vanderbilt at the Legends Club North (par 72, 6,430 yards).
The Mason Rudolph Championship begins on Friday, Sept. 20 and will run through Sunday, Sept. 21. The Knights' competition includes No. 13 Auburn, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Clemson, Florida Atlantic, Houston, Louisville, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, No. 15 Northwestern, UCF, and No. 7 Vanderbilt.
The Knights Lineup:
- Tunrada Piddon – The newcomer placed T12 overall at the Knights' first tournament of the fall, shooting 213 (-3) in three rounds.
- Chinatsu Kobayashi – In the three-round tournament last weekend, Kobayashi shot even-par (216) to finish T25.
- Elizabeth Moon – Moon finished the Cougar Classic shooting 73 (+1) all three rounds to total 219 (+3).
- Maria Balcazar – At the Cougar Classic, Balcazar shot 221 (+5) coming in T47.
- Alyssa Lamoureux – Lamoureux will be making her fall 2019 debut for the nights at the Mason Rudolph Classic.
"This week is another great opportunity for us to go up against some really strong teams," said head coach Emily Marron. "Our performance at the Cougar Classic showed us that we have a lot of talent this year and the potential to go low on any given day. It's exciting to have some young talent mixed with the experience of our upperclassmen to lead us throughout this season."
