UCF Ranked in Final AVCA Poll

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – With 2018 season that was filled with historic moments at every turn, the UCF volleyball team achieved another first in program history on Tuesday. The Knights finished the year ranked No. 25 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Coaches Poll.

The Knights enjoyed a memorable 2018 campaign that featured a 27-4 record with a perfect 18-0 mark in the American Athletic Conference, notching the team’s second league championship in program history.

UCF rolled through the record season with a 24-match winning streak, a Division I program record. The Knights set the single-season blocks record with 2.72 stuffs per set. Jordan Pingel broke the school record for digs in a season and digs per set with 597 and 5.1, respectively.

Pingel and McKenna Melville became the ninth and 10th AVCA All-Americans in program history after earning First Team All-Southeast Region. The duo and Kristina Fisher earned First Team All-Conference laurels, while Anne-Marie Watson checked in on the Second Team.
